GIM CONTEXT HAND-STITCHED DENIM KNIT SHORTS BLUE

Vintage denim shorts by Levi's are reproduced in knit. A denim-like fabric is knit, washed, damaged, and hand-stitched to create a very crafted piece. Various cotton yarns, including crisp cotton yarns, cotton slub yarns, and bouclé cotton yarns, are knit together in a single jacquard weave, alternating between the front and back sides to reproduce a twill weave structure. By pulling together slub yarns, we were able to reproduce a marbled look. It is also characterized by its lightweight and smooth feel against the skin. The material does not stretch even though it is a knit, and the character and texture of the yarns stand out to create a unique material that is somewhere between a knit and a woven fabric.

After knitting, the fabric is washed twice to give it a denim-like feel, and the damaged parts are held in place with a mellow sewing machine to prevent fraying after the damage is done, and then wire brushed on top to reproduce the fluffiness. The hems are cut off at the ends. All stitching is hand-stitched by craftsmen. The red tag on the back pockets are also handmade crochet. Details such as the cinch back and coin pockets are also retained. Waist can be adjusted with drawcord.
